First 'floor' - finally here

1st floor, I mean literally, the first floor is here.  :)
Finished , done,  ready.

The previous owners had a little diverse style than mine - lot of dark wood and leather, pine wood and electronics. I decided to go with little simple version - white, little bit more bright and fluff. And when it comes to tech, I prefer Apples only ;)

The floors were in 'pretty bad' shape so I sanded and washed them with them first with floor and paint wash.

Thanks a little help from friendly advises (my brother: 'whatta fuck are calling me??!! I'm sleeping)
and to the instructions that I found through some blogs

In addition I had to wash the walls (there used to live a happy family here with children, and I found poo on the wall) and I painted them a little too.

I'm quite happy with the results now - some details needs to be finished, but I'll do that later. And now - some coffee. ;)

Bits and pieces..

Sorry that it has been quiet for a while ... - now I have some time to write while the paint dries out....

This house has a lot to see, conquer and clean (!)

I have been cleaning the past weeks and so far I have found one little shell (no snail included), some spider webs here-and-there, old tax papers, a lot of awkward stuff lying around.

Instead of cleaning the previous owners left a lot awful, or hideous stuff around the house which I have successfully been able to sell at tori.fi (imagine that!). Although I should be happy they left some lambs since they stole the electricity switches with them :D

Then there is this shit that I cannot get rid off, so I started to decorate them ( as long I find some other solution for them)

And yes - the house mouse, Rupert as we call him, is still here - he's enjoying his kebab every night in his own corner. Yammy.

Good night and sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite (literally).

I got to move in. What a mess. But with the help of my friends - Maija, Marko, Vilja, Hanna, Sare, Jussi and Jaakko - it all all came together in an instant. Loves you guys, thank you so much. ❤️

So here we go - let the renovation start... Some fun fun coming up soon. 😉 

I think I'll start the renovation process by taking a cup of coffee on my kitchen sofa corner.

My house has a mouse

My up-coming house's previous owners just told me that the house includes a mouse. Lovely.

Well well well, I have no other choice - <install a cat>. Thank God, I have two. 

I think once again it's time - this job requires the ultimate mouse-trap-cat; Lillis.

Muutto - I'm moving (on)

Muutto edessä - tavarat kasaan ja kohti uutta.

Ostin talon, tai pikemminkin partitalon, jokirannasta. Siksi tämän nimi - talojokirannassa.
Talo ei ole aivan huippukunnossa edellisten asukkaiden jäljiltä, mutta se sopii minulle. Aika kaivaa vanhat remppa t-paidat kaapista.

Remontti alkaa jo hahmottua mielessä - maalausta, hiontaan, uusia keittiön kaappeja tai ovia metsästämään, glitter rappuset ja vaikka mitä. Edelleenkään en osaa mitään, en osannut viimeksikään, mutta tuli siitä loppujen lopuksi jotain. Sain sen verran kehuja edellisen kämpän, Tampereen Pyynikin pikku-kodin remontista, joten ajattelin aloittaa tämän blogin ihan sen johdosta.

Liitteenä muutama kuva vanhasta kodista, ja kuvia uudesta kun ideat alkavat hahmottua.

Out with the old, in with new. Up coming next; moving to a new home.

I bought a house. Or actually a semi-detached house, from the riverside. The url is originated from that, 'house by the riverside'. The house is not in the best possible shape after the previous owners but it's fine by me. Time to get my bob-the-builder gear on. 'Bob's the name and building is the game'

The renovation starts clear up in my head - floors need paint, I must find new kitchen cabinets or doors, gonna decorate some glitter to the stair case and so forth. I still have no clue whatta hell am I doing, like it was the case scenario last time, but all-in-all it all ended well. I got so many cheerful feedback's on the home in Tampere, so I've decided to do this blog this time. (Just to remind myself why not to get into s*it again..)
